Fitzroys has added to its asset management division as demands from a changing retail environment increase the resources required to successfully manage the firm’s shopping centre portfolio.

Teresa McDonald has joined Fitzroys as Retail Asset Manager.

Teresa has specialised in the management and redevelopment of shopping centres and heritage retail assets, having spent the past three years at Colliers International in Western Australia. In her most recent role Portfolio Manager, she managed the heritage-listed landmark shopping arcade London Court in the Perth CBD.

During that time she also worked in management roles at Plaza Arcade, David Jones and the Savoy Hotel.

Teresa was a finalist of the Property Council of Australia’s 2018 Future Leaders Award for Property Manager of the year, and was a participant in the 2019 Property Council of Australia 500 Women in Property.

Her Diploma of Conveyancing also gives her a broader understanding of property law.

Fitzroys Director, Rick Berry said Fitzroys is committed to achieving the best outcomes for its management clients, and ensuring their assets are able evolve and thrive in a period of change for the retail industry.

“Teresa brings unique experiences that will add a fresh voice and perspective to Fitzroys’ management of retail and shopping centre assets across Melbourne,” he said.

“Teresa’s appointment reflects Fitzroys’ attitude that changes in the retail industry represent a generational opportunity to deliver excellent results to our clients and the communities their assets service.”
